Q: Sometimes, when I start the iTouchPhoto administration application, it will start up twice. Why does it do that?
|
A: People who are familiar with the Microsoft Windows operating system know that they are commonly required to "double click" desktop icons and buttons in programs to get them to do something. A single click merely selects the icon or button. A second click is usually required to get things moving.
The iTouchPhoto system uses the Linux operating system. The Linux operating system (as a general rule) only requires a single click on an icon or program button to get things going. If you find that the iTouchPhoto Kiosk or Administration Application is starting up twice, when of course you only need it to start up once, it is likely that out of habit you are "double" clicking the desktop icons of these programs to start them. Two clicks on the program's desktop icon will start the program twice.
As a general rule, a 'single' click is all it takes.

Q: Sometimes, when I try to close the iTouchPhoto administration application, holding down the Ctrl key and pressing the z key doesn't work. Why?
|
A: This might occur when the keyboard focus is at an input text box on the screen. What you'll need to do is click the left mouse button anywhere on the screen outside of any input text boxes. This gives the main screen the keyboard focus. Pressing Ctrl z should now close the administration application.
